Working on an Oshibana artwork, using the colours created by Nature itself, I always dive into a world of harmony. The diversity of the natural palette and peculiar plant shapes fascinate me. In my works, I sometimes use whole flowers and leaves the way they are, whether is a bud, an open flower, or a leaf chewed by caterpillars or eaten by time. By arranging these plants, I am trying to highlight their unique individuality through just a hint, a tacit image, a veiled trace, while letting the viewers delve into their own fantasies and thoughts. Sometimes, on the contrary, the colour or texture of a plant is such that I create the artwork by using the plants as paints: and this is how various landscapes, abstract forms or animal shapes appear in my works. Hopefully, my Oshibana art will take you into the wonderful world of Nature's colours and magic.
